Since your engine was put in your car, how many problems have you had with it?

Errrr, thats it. Was a 90k engine, prob done about 95k now.

Nothing that "failed" as such, but water-damaged ECU and a snapped ()over-tightened) idler tensioning pulley bolt causing cam belt to slip

driven 200 miles in mine, and 2 coolant hoses have already come off (one 30 seconds after leaving the garage, got that fixed then the other 10 mins after leaving the 2nd time when i was sitting in KFC getting some munch before the 200 mile journey home!) Gear linkage was misaligned leaving me with only 3rd and 4th gears, but i was late for work and had to drive it anyway causing my clutch to burn out. (I think, clutch is being checked tomorrow)

20XE needs a mechanical speedo not electronic as fitted on later Corsa B's.

I've got a mechanical one (Lee will rape me if im wrong,a asked him so many times ). Mine was working fine, then one day it gave up.

Hoping mines just a problem with the switch.

Engine mount worked it's way loose (my fault),
PAS pump catching on the tie bar
Fan mount burnt to nothing cos it was sat too close to the manifold.

Nothing Enginey really. Touch wood.

Cars done nearly 900 miles with the new engine now. Still got Aircon to sort.

I used a cavalier speedo cable as I couldn't be bothered to route it particularly well (just got it going behind heater and then down behind glovebox and out into bay) and the corsa one was an inch too short...

Works fine, except it used to pop out occasionally on the gearbox when ragging it (before I had tightened the g/box end enough)...
