Not unless ur earning in excess of 30k p/a

Saw that other day, national average sallary is £17k odd average 3 bed semi is now £170k odd don't make for gud reading if you're a first time buyer

theres 1 bed appartments around my way for €350,000

house prices over here are gone through the roof.

i just payed €202,000 for mine. its worth €215,000 already and its not even built

house prices are stoopid!

ourhouse went up 35k in about 6months and its nowt special - 4 bed detached thats coulda done wi decoratin at time. (doin it now)

yeah true, but they are expensive here because i live in the ribble valley which is supposed to be posh but its not, and where mike lives its ideal for living and working in liverpool

Bare in mind that was £170k for a semi 3 bed, u jus start off with a 1 bed etc... National salary is more like £25k ish, £17k may be the figure excluding people over a £1m a year

There very expensive in NEwcastle. I have been looking for a flat. In a decent area (not posh) for a 2 bedroom flat I cant find one for less than £95k and thats not new infact it would need some money spendin on it as well

Yeah u can get a decent house for that like a 4 bed in an ok (using the loosest term of ok)

but then we generally get paid less

The NE prices are still rising quite dramatically at the minute so it'll not be that much cheaper.

My flat has went up £30K in 12 months and my Mam & Dad 4 bed detached has just been valued a £400K

Wouldn't say it was cheap just less than the equivelent in Surrey

If you're talking about living in Newcastle, Gosforth, Jesmond etc. you'll be looking at double that.

We're just about to start work on some 2bed apartments that start at £385K
