Is it true that...

Police can restrict the registration plate of your car in extreme circumstances and make you loose your private plate and reregister it, which will cost you a good few hundred pounds!!!!!!

They can take the plate and fine you 1000 quid if they're feeling particularly twisted. Depends how much you try and misrepresent it.

Think you would need to be caught alot of times for them to take it off you.

Up to you if its worth having it spaced and your prepaired for a couple more £30 fines

Is it true that...

They can retain your current license plate there and then,
so you cant drive it anywhere, then they can have it toed away to a compound so you would have to pay for the towing.
Theyre a bunch of arse, if they keep doing you for it, they can get arsey and pull out all the stops, those rules have been implemented in the last 7-8 months

(i have been told)

where did i say u was moaning?

u was obviously in your other post where u said bad luck comes in 3s. but re-arranging ur plate and getting caught i would not say is bad luck. as u give them a reason.

i know it looks better but if u do it and get caught then expect the worse

i agree jambo , its a shit law but its when ppl start all this italic wrighting and moving diff letters together and stuff. mine was all normal clear letters but all spaced same , no double spacng in middle yet still got a £30 fine.

its easy for them to do .

police are a joke

i agree if they have those pykie fonts on em that may make it difficult to read, i can see the point, or if a plate is soooo tiny you have to squint.

But the letters just spaced differently? What a joke thats just being pedantic.
