Hi there,

Just turned 17 a week ago , and started the driving lessons .

Hopefully by the summer Ill be driving , and I hope to get a Corsa B.

What would be the best first mods for the car , bearing in mind insurance is a bastid

Im thinking :

15 or 16inch wheels
40mm Drop
Exhaust
Front splitter - pos Ibiza ?

I want to do subtle but effective mods , so what sort of other ideas would be good ?

Do any of you have any pics of the same sort of idea on a Corsa B?

Would wheels , exhaust , suspension etc put my insurance up ?

Cheers in advance

As stupid as it sounds, if you plan on doing mods in your first year, get quotes for the car with mods. I made the mistake of buying the cheapest insurance, only to realise they wanted extortionate amounts for Mods, when i could have payed a little extra at the start of the year and got my mods declaired for free .

Cheers for your replys lads they been very helpful

Best quote Ive managed to get so far has been £750 under my dads name with pass plus , which certainly beats the 12-1300 pound quotes I was getting previously !

Dont go under your dads name if you can help it, i made that mistake. Build up your no claims then after a few years youll be able to insure a faster car

If i had done that id be paying half of what i paying now

As above CIS are good for mods, but not the cheapest around. Apparently Tesco are good for mods too?
