Well been rubbing and applying filler after work last few days!

Got the shape all sorted on drivers door and only got to add couple little bits of filler on top ring and the smooth filler over a crack i fibreglassed over and then 240 it all and its ready for painting

Gonna be a prety tight fit

Come along way since this

Oh and a couple of pics of my TV surround

Not sure if i like it gloss black yet and still might smooth it in but like being to get it out easy and that so not sure yet

filler with yellow hardener.

i use red and yellow, its easier to see where you have already done if you alternate between layers

PainZ: I take it you mean the filler, its called Easy as easier to sand, the yellow bits are the primer from before, built up with fibreglass resing mating and fibrefill then filler then rub down then filler rub down then filler rub down and so on

langey, yeh built TV suriund myself, applied all the filler and rubbed it all down and just got it sprayed with primer rubbed that down and then got sprayed primer and spraying done at bodyshop

Nope hardener is red, and dont matter if i can see different layers as its the smoothness and shape that matters to me

They are JL Audio XR653-CS 3 ways and will set you back about £450-500 but obviously need builds to fit in a corsa so a bit pricey once all thats done

I havnt had them running in my car yet but heard them in others and they sounds fooking amazing

They make the sound just sound complete and everywhere you cant tell that the bass is in the back etc i love them and cant wait to get them in, been waiting 5 months now

I would say so but its not just down to the speakers themselves its set-up and amp they are running off etc, wish i had gone for the focals as the builds would have been ALOT fooking easier

just looking at them again and wondering how they fix to the door, obviously with the orginal screw holes but what about the extra part near the top speaker?? and what about door cards?? cutting round them or having them go behind the build?

if you have a look at this pic:

you can see that the top bit is now flat and so i am going to put 2 screws in here into the door and i will be cutting the door card to fit around then and the flat bit will be hidden by the door card as will cut to shape of the speaker bit, and at the bottom i will either put a couple of screws inside the big speaker area or drill a couple of holes like the standard holes and screw through there
