Fiat 131 sat on bumper for a good 2 miles, so decided to drop it to forth and see how long he'd stay on for.
Little to my disbelief he wasnt budging, so at 115mph (private road) I was clear to go into left lane and he completly smoked past me

First car was a 1.2 8v, and I hit 100 ONCE but never again.
Only thing I'd ever raced and won was parked cars

certainly is. Sold the 205 to my boss at work, he went to change the air filter day after i sold it to him, and there was 3 inches of sediment at bottom of airbox. Filter hadnt been changed in 15 years, since the car was new

Completely to your disbelief it passed your car, if you had something fast and not a 1.6 Megane, yeah it would be disbelief. Those 131's or Mirafiori's came with 1300, 1600 and 2.0 none are that quick, but neithers your motor.

I didn't mean it to sound offensive, just saying, a Megane coupe however nice, ain't fast with a 1600 so prepare to be shut down by lots of crap old cars inclusing Fiat 131's, bond bugs, Saxo VTR's, Cortina Crusaders, Mini Clubmen, Allegros, Marinas and some old bloke in a Maxi.

Its the Fiat twin cam which sprung up first in the early boxt fiats in 1300 form, the shape Lada used for its 'Riva' was originally a Fiat design. They were over engineered engines. Peopl put the Fiat Twin cam in Morris Minors and in the past Sunbeams. I know cos I did it myself. The Lancia connection is that the Engine was used in Lancias too.

Zaniest Lancia is Thema 8.32 with the Ferrai Quattroporte V8 in it but transverse, the 8.32 stood for 8 cyl 32 valve, but I reckon it actually meant how long the front tyres last in seconds.

http://homepage3.nifty.com/thema832
n.b they are a cult car in Japan.
An 8.32 went on Ebay last year for 2500 needed engine work, I hope the guy who bought it re-mortaged his house, cos rebuilding a Ferrari engine aint cheap.
http://www.supercars.net/garages/groupb/11v2.html
note they do a quarter in std form in 14.5 which is like lots faster than something like a Civic type r, which aint a slow car.
