Alright people, my names Tom and I'm a staff writer for Revs magazine.
In our next issue we are doing a backbox test for the Corsa B. We are fitting 9-10 different backboxes on the Corsa and then testing them on a rolling road.
Here's where you guys come in...
Basically we need a Corsa B for the test. In needs to have a totally standard engine and standard exhaust system. (It doesn't matter if the interior or exterior are modified or not). Once we have completed the test then you get to keep one of the backboxes for your motor.
So if you own a Corsa B, and your free next Thursday (3rd June) then email me - tom.mallen@emap.com or PM me.
We are doing the test at Superchips rolling road near Milton Keynes so you also need to be able to get there. (We can pay for your fuel within reason)

I have a corsa B, but I have re-programmed the ECU and have an complete exhust system (some german name on exhust). Sorry

ive got a scorpion backbox on mine at the moment! but if i came down u could take it off and replace it with whatever for the roling road! then u could give me a nice new exhaust

After the farce of having a Powerflow exhaust on my car (big mistake), and now having gone back to standard exhaust with the Powerflow system rusting away in my garage, I wish I could make it down there.......but I can't get more time off work at the moment!

Sorry guys, just to make it even more difficult I've just been informed that we really need a Corsa B with the 1.4 16v Ecotek engine.

y not do a full system, backbox is hardly gonna make any difference?

Good point John, but the idea of the test is that a backbox is obviously easy and cheaper to fit than a full system. It's going to be one of our budget tests in this months mag. It makes it more accessible to our readers.

Morning guys and gals, sorry to bother you all again. Unfortunately the Corsa that we had sorted for the test has dropped out so we are still looking. As before same conditions apply. We need a Corsa B 1.4 16v Ecotec. Thanks for your help.

There must be hundreds of 14 16V owners on this site Tom, only problem will be finding one with standard exhaust must be a few though... i have only just sold my standard 1.4 sport a few months ago...

Yeah, I kinda guessed that cheers Macca. We have the option of fitting a standard backbox onto the car before the test as long as it hasn't previously had a full system fitted. We need it to have a standard exhaust because we are going to test it on the rolling road before we fit the performance backboxes so we can compare the possible power increases. Thanks again guys.
