What can i do about this? No suggestions like beat him up, i want to do it properly and maybe try and get his equipment confiscated.

All the time he plays loud thumping music which i can hear. I'm not even living in the semi thats attached to his house and i can hear it. Feel sorry for his direct neighbour.

What are my options............?

contact the police and file a noise pollution complaint, they will investigate and measure the DB reading, send them a written warning.

OR you could get some bangin drum and bass and turn your system up louder than his while you roll a fat one and relax

He's a cock and wouldnt listen if i told him to turn it down. Saying that all is quiet now, maybe he's reading this

Still i may ring the council if it persists.

why seven amps? you could have gone with 8 or 9 or ten? or you could have said 6? or you can have gone with one, which has a bigger output that the 7 you wanted to hook up...

besidides the 7 amps would all be in line so not only would that defeat the sound level, also quality and tone will be lost.

1 in mono mode would be better with an output oh 2k rms.

Personally i would go round and ask if he will stop playing it loud first, if he does then there is no need to contact the police.

My neigbour came round to mine when i had my music playing whilst polishing my car, he had just had a baby and said the bass kept it awake, i said fair enuff and he was sound, started asking my quesitons about my car and system too.

no you need stereo for decent sound....so you want two 32" jobbies and a few horns and that will be pukka for a drum kit
Also a decent kit is needed in the first place...none of those performance kits, a propper yamaha kit is what you need

nah, ive played on yamaha stuff and i think it was the muts pearl do alright stuff...although the only kit ive played on (properly) was a custom kit, which wasnt too bad...but then again it cost the bloke 12k or something stupid like that

personally, i think a decent set of cymbals and a kit setup (padding in the kick etc), aswell as making sure the room your playing in is alright...goes along way to get a decent sound out of any kit Although buying a cheap(ish) kit and wacking new skins on it will just be as good as an expensive upper end kit

keep a diary of times and duration of the music for a weeks.. Then report him to council for Noise pollution..They will try to get out and get DB reading and catch him in the act.. If over excessive he will be warned. If continues then will have stereo confiscated and could end up in court..
