I've just seen the thread on losing weight, looked helpful, so how about a thread on how to gain weight?
Apparently gaining weight is harder than losing weight?
Especialy trying to build up muscles.

squats should be 1st.
then straight leg deadlifts
then hyper extenions.
If needed cain the calfs afterwards
avoid the 2^ excerise above, do nothing for you

As Si has said, 7-8 small meals [make sure ur carbs, protein and fats etc are distributed as appropriately] free weights, low reps, heavy loads..should have u putting on weight!

im into strongman/powerlifting different ball game all together to body building thanks. If you know what a deadlift is, its the same but keep the legs totally locked. This really hits the hams like a mother fucker. Hyper extentions hit the same group + lower back. Theres an actual machine for this

all this talk of 7-8meals has left me quite confused, or is it just that different peopl react to training in different ways? cos i have 2 big meals a day and i pick at food in between, yet i've gain more muscle weight than the lad i train with who eats like mad and has 3 seperate protein/whey shakes a day
maybe i react better than my mate does or maybe im training harder (he lifts more than me but maybe he could push himself more as his standards are greater?) i dunno

2-3 meals you wont grow because your body can only consume so much protein in one sitting you see.
I eat at these times.
6am,8am,11am,1pm,3pm,5pm,8pm,10pm then throw in the odd protein shakes. picking at the food in between is still helping i guess my big meals are 11-1 and then bits n bobs inbetween

You seem to eat all the time. How do you find time to go down the gym if you eat all those times?

yeah i'm medium height 5ft10 but thats why i think people react to training differently, i was talking to a guy was stupidly large and he said if you have better blood flow than the next person, you have an advantage

cant say ive heard that one, but i know getting the blood pumping (hypertrophy) is ment to create more mass. Such as 20 rep squats. They are a fucking killer. Worked up to 130kg couldnt hack it after that. Kills you.
