What do ya reckon to these cars? I have seen a non runner, needs new head gasket, and will prob do an engine re-build as has 132000 miles on clock. What are your views? Any idea of insurance group and bhp/speeds?

Cheers,

Anton

My mate had one, was fcuking quick too. Love the way when you go over a certain speed the suspension automatically lowers the car to make it more stable

Its been checked out by garage, and they say its head gasket problems. How hard to do an engine re-build do we rekon? At the price still think its a bargain!

if worst comes to worst, it shouldnt be awfully difficult to source a new engine cheap enough so if the car is tidy enough i'd say its worth it alright

Only bit of rust is inder the spoiler, but it would have a new suit (respray) before being driven in ford imperial blue! What are they like for parts, any performance figures?

Spoiler rust is common on them, I read an article in Banzai a while back, when they were workin on their 200sx project. Apparently the spoiler doesntdo much for the stability or aerdynamics IIRC, so they just removed it, sorted the rust and smoothed it over.

lol....good suggestions! May ask my dad to use the landrover and a trailer...its a loooooong way though, and my mum doesnt want me to have another car! Gonna try and get my local farmer to let me hide it on his farm until it is fixed...then just turn up at my parent house in it, thatway, my mum has no choice!

S13 spoiler rust is very common, it's rubber and bonded onto the tailgate thus catching water which has no run off Remove spoiler alltogether and either fit one with a gap under it or leave it completly S13's aren't that quick as standard but any turbo cars can be fettled with nicely
