 happened about 1am this morning. driving home from gf's house, normal route, no1 in sight. theres a stretch of road, about 300m long? 3 lanes, roundabouts each end. driving up there, next thing i know, police jump out of a bush infront of the car flapping their arms about!! pulled me over, knew i was fooked too. told me my speed, why i was doing it etc etc. said that i gota report to the police station within 7 days with al my documentation etc. then within 6months i will recieve a court summons for my penalty.
thing is, he kept sayin 'u were doing double the speed limit' got kinda pissed off because i wasnt, i was doing 59  he said fair enough u weren. then kept sayin it 
luckily ive been driving around 25/26 months now so i amble to rack up 12points 
but i am expecting the worst, most likely a ban but theres nothin i can do, down the the judge on the say eh! gona speak 2 my solicitor later 2day 2 wot we can do aswel. and i know some1 high up in the police force whos a close family friend
jus a bit shite really, i know i was in the wrong so no 'deserves u right u twat' etc!!!
funny thing is, i had 2 illegal front tyres and he didnt check them?! BUT to add insult to injury, jus checked my MOT and its expired, so i need that sorted b4 i go 2 the police station!!
jus a bit sad really, because if i do get banned, i wont be able to afford the car anymore
ah wel, wel just see i spose!!

and another thing that was pissin me off was 2 beemers having a race comin past doing atleast 80/90, nearly smashed into another car on the roundabout, they jus said 'ah wel' maybe wel get em next time

Don't get too worked up just yet. You may find that nothing comes of it. At least you'll watch you speed round that way from now on, maybe thats all they're going for, just trying to shit you up a bit?
I got a two month ban for doing 69 in a 30 zone so I guess you'll get less than that for what its worth.

really? im not too worked up, was really pissed earlier but jus thinkin of consequences now. dad said not to worry bout it too.
think the bloke was bein a twat with me 2. he could see i was gettin pissed off at cars flyin past us. he said, u got no proof there speeding. i said, wel they blatantly are tho. he said ok then proove it. how fast this that car going. i said about 39, came out as 41, he said, ok thats jus luck, ho fast this one going, i said 35, came out as 36, then he shut up, and the other copper said, um, ur pretty good at that!!! twat fucker!!

I was travelling along a dual carraigeway in Dunstable the other day, over near where I used to live.
Speed limit used to be 40 mph, so there I went along at around 40, quite content. Went past a speed camera van, then saw a sign saying it was a 30 limit.
Annoying they've dropped the limit as I was doing 38mph & well within the old speed limit.
So thats another 3 points heading my way, luckily my other 3 come off next March.

I hate to say this but when you turn up with a new MOT they WILL ask to see the old one, happened to me mate, he just happened to have his MOT a couple of days after getting a producer and he had to return to the cop shop with old MOT too, i got done for 57 in a 30, i got 6 points and £155 fine including court fees, good luck

Unlucky that mate but as a few people have mentioned you may just get lucky. I was pulled over doing 63mph in a 30 limit and the copper was giving me tips on how to get away without a ban. Basically you just have to send a grovelling letter to the courts saying how sorry you were and if you lose your car you could lose your job etc. even better if you can get one of your bosses to back up your bullshit. I done this and got away with 6 points and a £200 fine plus costs. Still a fucking nightmare but better than being banned

i been waiting for my court appearance for near on 3 month now.
i got caught doing 104mph in a 70.
last week i had a letter thru.
i was caught speeding again by laser gun gettin let off that one tho.
needles to say i watch my speed closely now

wel our family friend said i should get away with 3 points and a fine, she deals with speeding offences!! she said its in my favour that it was late at night, and the type of road it was. i also use my car alot for work too so she said it should be ok. jus gona plead guilty on the summons thing and hope 4 the best!

greasemonkey: car is going in for MOT now, it only ran out on the 7th, so il jus say it was offroad if they ask, should be ok.
joff - really need to say that? not that it bothers me because ive prepared myself for the worst.

mate i saw you getting pulled i was in the mk1 escort behind you because my mate lives round the corner then i drove past in my red corsa 5 mins later when they were talking to you. The police have been in that exact position loads over the last week so you have got to be very careful, but i know where you are coming from i do that speed up there all the time you are just very very unlucky.
