Dunno about that engine. But you hardly ever read threads complaining about 8v engines, compared to 16v ones.

8v seem to be more reliable and iirc can be tuned

I've never had a 16v corsa, but I remember looking in sassyminx's 1.6 and couldn't see past the head.

I managed to change the rack on mine with a lot of persuasion, wouldn't like to try it on a valver

the 16v has more power anyway so the 8v would cost more to tune it to the same spec as 16v also 16vs sound so much nicer as you know

For as fair a comparuison as possible, you need to compatre the C20XE against the C20SEH. IIRC, theyve got similar trque figures, but the 8v makes it lower down the rev range. SEH is 130 Brake, XE is 155 ish. the 8 vlvers gonna be cheaper to fix if it breaks, but is also much less likely to break compared to the 16v.

Should think the SEH will weigh a fair bit less than the XE too.

if ur gona do and engine conversion u may as well go for the 16v

theres a suspect former 2.0 8v used to be on here, no y like it or the driver..

what about a 2.0 12v?

come to bolton cruise in a few weeks. Got some more shit to fix, theres no fan on it now, IACV is fucked and it needs a hub from cossvaux only got 3 bolts in front drivers side
