try this, i sent an e-mail to total vauxhall after seeing pvd advert in their mag, thought they should know who they are advertising.
heres the reply. so anyone with dealings give paula a phone as it says.
hi Barry,
Thanks for your e-mail.
We are aware of the problems that people are having with PVD, and are seriously concerned about their treatment of our readers. As the editor of the magazine, my concern is very much with readers like yourself, and we will not tolerate advertisers taking advantage of our boys (and girls). As I'm sure you realise, advertisers generate much needed revenue for our magazine by paying for advertising space, but that doesn't mean that we will let anyone — regardless of ethics — take ad space.
We have a separate advertising department, but they support and respect our intentions and loyalty to those who go out and buy the mag each month, and they are seriously onto PVD. Paula (our advertising lovely) is keen to hear from anyone in your predicament and will assist with holding PVD accountable for your custom. She's already dealt with several such enquiries with the desired result.
Please call Paula on 01452 317116 (if you can't get through on this number ring 01452 307181 switchboard and ask for her by name).
Let me know how you get on and please pass this advice onto anyone you come across on web forums etc, with a similar problem.
Yours Faithfully
Barton
Editor, Total vauxhall

you seriosly expect this to make a difference?
they have like a 4 page advert every month, and BFO cone on the back of every issue. you think total vauxhall are going to throw that kinda money away? do you realise how much they would pay for an advert like that?

How do you know, the advert could be charged to invoice and billed. doesnt mean you have to pay it. and total vaux wouldnt lose out if pvd dont pay.

something like that will be on a 7 day contract, besides it has been in there since it started pretty much.

if they dont pay, the advert doesnt go in next month. they have been major advertisers in total vaux since the beginning of it.

the only dealings i had with them were when i was trying to get a BFO and they wanted £40 to ship the thing to Ireland
Rimstyle shipped a whole set of FK coilovers from Kent to me here for a tenner

TBH I believe that Total Vaux should drop them as it is in a way damaging to their magazine... I mean for ppl like us Vaux enthusiasts who know about PVD - Its 4pages wasted in the mag and gives a general bad impression when I see companies with their reputation advertising in there! Out with the old in with the new I say and anyone know why they didnt show at PVS? It must be nearly a year ago since all the trouble started with them and it just seems to be getting worse!

yeah im a fan never dealt with them. never will. but i dont see the piont in emailing total vauxhall when you just phone the office of fair trading. or even better than that. dont buy from them?
what the fuck do you expect, you know their reputation, dont buy from them, simple.
yes perhaps your right, and i agree that total vauxhall should drop their advert due to the rep they have. but it just wount happen, it doesnt make buisness sence. if there were people knocking at the door to advertise then they would just put more pages in. PVD pay for a 4 page advert every month, and thats a slice of pie they can rely on every month.
