Had a play with my mates sti 4 type r tonight. Had a few mods done to it, so it must be running a good 320/330 (considering the are very generously booked in at 280bhp as standard, but prolly make more)

Had 4 races, all from rolling starts at varying speeds. Those that know your scoobs will know the type r and ra models have very favourable short ratio boxes, which do make for good acceleration! Tops out about 160 with a normal 5th, and longer 5th (factory option) can give them a top end of 180ish!

Anyway, every race we had (ranging from middle of second gear for a starting speed, upto a race where I was near the top of third when we started) I pulled away quite well! By the time I was in 6th in every race the distance was a good few lengths and increasing.

I've very surprised by this! Well chuffed with my little car, it just goes from strength to strength! Just when it starts to feel slow it goes on to beat something I don;t expect it too

Bought it done, no way anybody could really justify spending what it would cost to get it as it is!

I couldn't of bought another car (perhaps barring a kit car) that would be as fast for the money I don't think?

Was deffo LESS than 7k

Big Eck wins with the correct answer of 6.5k! Not bad with new engine and new paint. Would of like to of paid less, but I seemed happy to part with the money at the time!

Its an N reg (private plate is going back soon, so it will be sporting the original again!).

I could of been older and I'd of paid the same. Shell and engine are what I've paid for, not a new car with low milage!

Thats how modding should be done...nice and subtle and none of this stick on fiberglass sh*te...its a corsa...work with the existing shape of the car not stick stuff all over it....trying to make it look fast
