Finally sorted things like finances out, so all I need now is to sell the Corsa (which I've been trying to do for the last few weeks ).
Want something bigger than a Corsa, and with a bigger standard engine, at least a 1.6 and at most a 2.0 due to my lack of experience (well...I'm being honest I'd write off anything bigger than a 2.0 the day I got it) and due to insurance.
Also it musn't be higher than Group 11 insurance and must be under the £4k price tag with fewer than 65k on the clock.
Now I know this is really stretching it as to a fairly good car, but I want something quite fast, bigger than the corsa and that won't look half bad either.
I'm thinking of something like a Hyundai Coupe 2.0i SE (hairdresser's car.) or maybe a honda/nissan/toyota/audi (estate/saloon/jap thingy).
What are your suggestions?
Here are the requirements again :
-Can be bought for under £4k
-No older than '91
-Under 65k mileage
-between 1.6 and 2.0
-bigger than a corsa
-fairly quick and not a minger
-group 11 insurance or lower.
Sensible suggestions please Cheers.

Nah its a good pick. Just had a browse on autotrader and theres lots of fairly new veccys with low mileage. Don't know why vectras aren't more popular with the younger culture...seem to me looks-wise like they're the western version of a lexus soarer/skyline/paseo.

GoldPenguin - any specific ones mate? V. interested in civics and hondas but unsure what to look for. Probably better asking over at hondarevolutions.com but I'll get a few biased answers.

Lot of torque though I expect. Bet it's pretty quick 60+ though.
Definately a candidate...
