Got caught last night doin 38 in a 30, 60 quid fine and three points please, thankyou....
Right, i dunno if any of you will be able to answer this but......
Do police with laser guns have to be in a area where the speed camera sign is displayed to catch you ?

i thought they were not using the laser guns anymore becuase they are not accurate enough, and they used to use them any where they like, gits

Technically, no they cannot just jump out of a bushh wavin a lazer gun at you, its a breach of you privacy, they have to do it in a sign posted zone. Round my way they do, there are speed camera signs every where bu no speed cameras. This means they can pull up and catch ya speeding in allot of places

yeah i kno that mate, but there isnt any speed camera signs anywere arround that area, but he was stood nead a shop front, its my own fault that i didnt see him really, i was just tryna see if i could get out of it
the thing that pissed me off was when he said, "i nerly missed you there mate i only just managed to catch you" then he did a stupid fat policemans laff............ like lenny henry

When i got caught i knew i was gonna get points so i was proper cheeky to him i got caught doin 58 in a 40 but he caught me 300 yards away, think i hit like nearly 80 so i was very lucky not to get instance ban!
it took ages for me to stop as well!!! 
but he said the signs have to be up if they do something like a certain amount of speed checks a month!!
i got 7 months now till my two years is up!

question the fact that there were no signs up, they might drop the charges, they dont like it when the public get clever
Me old man got done twice in a day by the same camera, it was a new stationary one, hidden behind a massive sign,
He is an engineer and went to court arguing the fact that the cameras are not accurate, cos a trained engineer dosnt change the film and they are not calibrated very oftern, blah blah blah it got too technical for me, and they dropped the charges

Hand held laser traps are not governed by the new laws on signage, Mobile camera vans and static cameras are. ANd anyways if they were the sign could be within a mile of where the guy was standing as it is for static cameras.

actually me and rob went to Gino's last night at about 11.30 pm and the ammount of chavy boy racers is unbelievable.
speeding everywhere, shitty loud exhausts, chasing their mates in standard cars! dick heads, wednesdays ain't even a good night round town to show off to the girls! Not the cars in Hull are worth showing off!
