Was going through a straight on filter which was green, person from the opposite direction turned in front of me and i hit his passenger side. He had a green light as well but there is also a filter for him which goes green when mine goes red but he mustnt have seen me coming. I was taken to hospital but am ok but dont have any of his details or that. Police will have them but i need to go and remove my backbox as I think the cars a too damaged to repair so got to track the car down. (exhaust was declared). What will happen now about police and whos fault it was and that as I know it was his fault but dont want to loose my no claims cause it was his fault. What will happen now?

Sorry to hear about this.

Should repair, if it were worth less money they'd write it off as uneconomical to repair but its fairly new isn't it?

It'll be a fight just like every claim is, no one likes admitting that they're wrong these days. Looks like you have done everything you can though.

The good news is that if they do write it off you may get a completely new car as replacement instead of just a payout.

When someone went into the back of my dads car, they offered same model/make car replacement or cash to the same value of his car at the time.

also have a done the correct thing? they gave me 3 options, claim thru them an pay excess then they claim it back, other 2 involved claiming through other person and legal stuff which takes a while. They also said it wont affect my mums other policy so she wont loose her 4yrs nbc which is good. The corsa policy will go down to 1yr tho if it ends up 50/50. Going to doctors tomorrow if my back is still as sore as it is as better to be sure
