Would anyone Be interested in A Rear Disc Conversion For the Corsa..
Would Cost about 225 all in all(will double Check, Could be Cheaper) For the Job and Would Be done in a Day.

Just want to Gather Some interest..

I've got a Corsa B rear beam for sale that's already converted for rear discs...


...5 -stud hub tho - excellent someone wanting to have a mad set of 5-stud only alloys

Beardy's said you can convert the fronts to 5-stud easily enough too!

You would need to get a set of Vectra or Omega hubs and modify them to fit the Corsa bearings, the same as you would do when fitting a 2.0 engine using Cavalier/Astra/Calibra hubs - at a guess...

IMO rear discs are a waste on a Corsa, not noticable benefits to be had.

and u need to change the master cylinder or the pedal travels tooo far and the brakes feel crap

Take my car for example, I bet when I slam on the back wheels almost leave the ground, and certainly there will be hardly any weight over them, the braking effect will therefore be negligable. Also run the serious risk of locking up and going sideways, a dangerous thing if the driver is inexperienced and doesnt know how to handle the situation! Esp as it will be under a heavy braking situation anyway.

Spend your money on an immense set of fronts, will more than suffice.

No because they will be setup and biased properly.

Even with a bias valve on a corsa/astra/nova they STILL do it (trust me I know LOL)

Mine with 300mm 4pots on the front and drums on the back doesnt even twitch, and stops mighty well!

Unless you are running mega power, rear discs are a waste of cash. as timrud said, they will provide a negligable increase in braking effect, and are probably more dangerous than anything, simply because the corsa's geometry isnt set up for rear discs. There is no weight over the rear wheels, and no ABS, Drums do a perfectly good job.

yes rear disks on the back of a corsa are gash unless they are low pressure, like the set on the back of 106 gti/vts
