Used to like them until i started driving and relised how ignorant the people who drive them are!

Disclaimer: If you are a BMW driver and are not ignorant, i apologise, this opinion is formed on my own personal experience.

I had a little play with a 528 and was suprised how slow it was. I know the 3 series are smaller, but for the money, i think i would chose something else. (Although they do have the build quality)

I like mine. Not really interested in owning any car other than a BMW now. Drives from service to service with no problems even though I batter it everyday. Can't ask for more really.

Driven loads of BM's from 316 coupe up to a 728i. All are a lovely drive and comfortable.

I would definately recommend them.

Near perfect 50/50 weight distribution. I've seen off plenty of so called hot hatches round a corner. And mine isn't a sport, which come with Koni suspension and LSD.
Just because you are unable to drive one fast doesn't mean the rest of us can't.

mind you the corsa does have upgraded roll bars, and koni adjustables, but even still.

what your point? mine is completely standard and has no problems wasting corsas renowned for their dodgy handling. Just because some bellend can't drive theirs doesn't mean the car can't handle?
The A4 is FWD anyway so its not even in the same class, therefore comparisons are pointless.

The BMW I had was the worst car I owned Im afraid. Well built, reliable, comfy and nice looking but sooooooooo boring! I never just wanted to "take it out for a spin" like I have all my other cars. If you do motorway miles fair enough, but I just didnt find it any fun!

There is no way Id have another!

Nothing like getting the arse out on a powerful BMW.

As DAYZEE says a lot of it is down to driver.

Yeah, I know what you mean..........thing was tho, it was so much of a barge the back end didnt want to come back! And when it did it snapped so hard cos of the weight that it fishtailed!

Sorry but if drifting is your thing then there are better cars than beemers to do it in!

It was a 1996 E36 M3 Evo. Dont get me wrong, it was a great car for build quality and reliability and that, but its just not my sort of car! Too quiet and safe I think?!

must have been a 316 or summit then because a BMW will out handle alot of things must have been lacking the grunt

anyways mate get the beemer treat yaself to a bit of luxury
