Am pretty much definately getting one, but wondered what peoples opinions are? They are a quick hot hatch, quicker than most, but wondered if anyones had one and experienced problems?

Aint real quick mate, my mate had a mint one was a nice car but theres quicker hatches out there.
Probably my favourite french hatch, doesnt feel as tiny as the saxos and 106's.

joe summing will pan out
drove tony's (halfpints) clio 1v not got the torque hit like a valver but goes quite well and handles great, be wary as gearbox mounts go easily and cambelts are engine out jobs i do belive and they are nto the cheapest of cars to run if your dependent on garrages
BB tunning groved discs and pads were awsome on it best brakes i've ever felt

chris's clio (sxi_boy) is amazing, looks wise... they are class cars... but be prepared to pay to keep it on the road... in all fairness though, chris's clio never was mechanically sound... but its had alot put right... far as I know its fine these days

my mate has spent the best part of 2 grand on service parts and fixing his,
needed a complete set of rear brakes which are very expensive cos the bearings are pressed into the discs, that was about £400
cambelt is silly money cos its a right bitch too do, loads of places dont touch them for cambelt changes.
nice car, just expensive to run and stupidly expensive if things go wrong.

How do you tell the difference between Phase 1 and 2? I never realised there were more than 1 phase before the newer shape.
We have a K-reg 1.4 8v RT at work, it's quite nippy.
