Just had a call of my granddad... he says he's taking me to look at a car at the weekend, one which i might be given as a thankyou of some old lady i used to do alot of work for around the garden & such...
Ford Ka, just had its first ever MOT, is also taxed, and has 2k miles on the clock...
WTF???
I can't accept this, surely... My granddad says that the old woman might be offended if I don't accept it, so I don't know what to do...
Yeah I need a car, and a free car is something you don't pass up! But this is worth what, £4k+??
Arrrggghhhhhhhhhh
If I do get it, I can't sell it for a year either, mainly cos I wouldnt want to offend the old lady, as I still go round now & then sorting her garden out...

oh and i'm going to see it on saturday with my grandad & might have it mid next-week aswell...
if i sell it tho & still get her something, she will still be offended...
she's like nearly 90... I'd feel like i'm robbing her but apparently its what she wants to do...

Look in the small print, see if there is a cash alternative
Bizarre situation.
I personally would decline it and say its worth too much. She might ask what else you want so have a Quaife catalogue handy
