Visionaries ?
Knights of the magical light.
They kicked ass.
Had holograms in their chest of animals and changed into them when needed ?

I got all of Visionaries on my computer.
They only made one series - 13 episodes.
They get a bit crap after the first 5 episodes or so

Only other one I can think of is "King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table".
An american football team crashed their tourbus off a mountain and were somehow transported to mediaeval England. Merlin - the mechanic version made them all magical armour that could transform them into animals and their horses into mechanical seige weapons.
