anyone on here in the police? or in the process of joining?

really am fucked off with my job at the moment & i think its time for a change. am i right in thinking that you have to be "on the beat" for 2 years before you can move into other departments?

also the pro's & cons of the job

pro's- you eat hot dogs, doughnuts and burgers in car parks

cons- you have to work with a lot of these

19.5k whilst training


luke, thats my only fear. i can handle a new job but it would totally change my lifestyle. no more illegal stuff

Go for it if its what you want to do but working shifts and finding out you cant change the world isnt so great. most of my family are in the police force

I think it's something you have to really want to do not just wake up one morning and fancy a go at! I've wanted to be a paramedic for as long as I can remember and very soon i'll be there

If young people didn't do illegal modifications to thier cars then the Police would have no reason to pull people over.

Thats the point i'm getting at, you only have the chavs to blame who stick stupid crap on thier car and get thier windows tinted too dark e.t.c... This makes the Police suspicious of any car thats modified so they pull you over if they got nothing better to do.
