I've got a modified corsa sport 16V, mods are 16" alloys, koni suspension, air filter (dont know what type), and double exhaust, the cheapest i've been quoted is £4000!!!!!

Can anyone help????

look in help zone and mod advice, there is a topped thread of a huge list of insurance companies

1.4 SRi is v expensive @ 17,

if you want to mod it to yor just asking for problems..

At moment - with all mods - I pay £440 Fully comp and thats got loadsa perks such as European Green flag - and track day cover...

LIKE MY CAR WOULD GET ROUND A TRACK IN A DECENT TIME !!!!!

I COULD WALK ROUND QUICKER THAN COULD DRIVE !!!!!

youve got some real problems! have you concidered not declaring the mods?
the problem is a1.4 is expensive to insure anyway and then with u only being 17 its even worse (maybe a bit better if youve done pass plus)
everything youve got on could be whipped off pretty quickly if the unthinkable hapened,
im not saying to do it im jus saying if u want to spend less than about 3500 your gonna have to
A:take all your mods off for a year untill you get no claims and an extra year driving experience or
B:dont declare your mods

feel sorry for you its a tricky one!

Pass Plus gets you a year's no claims, or at least the effect of a year's no claims.

1.4 is only a grp 6 car, same as focus 1.8, focus 2ltr is only a little more

WRONG

This is why peoples insurances are so high.

If people would be honest from the outset about mods then when people have smashes etc etc their insurances wouldnt get voided.

Its also illegal to have a car modified from what it is on your insurance document.

you'll strggle to find any insurance companies that will insure you with mods at 17 at all.
liv vic are your best bet.
but i wouldnt hold out hope mate.

also- avoid 4youngdrivers with a barge pole
