No, i don't mean the kits of Courtenay!
I've found this on the German Ebay.
The company sells turbo kits.
Price is nice, if you see whats in the kit.
Anyone ever seen these before?

one thing to remember all, is that you wont get any MEGA performance out of this kit (would be interested to see what beardy, lee + co say about it), and i deffo wouldnt want to put one with standard internals in the engine - but 800 quid for the "tsshhh" sound is alright i suppose, but the electronic device is cheaper

ahh but electric is shite lol. surly it would be ok for a slight performance upgrade tho . and if the boost is set quite low u should b ok on stadard internals right??

no the electric device is just a speaker mate that makes the "tsshss" sound
tbh, thats what you will be paying for as i cant see you applying that much boost to the N/A engine - consider the block and internals wernt made for a turbo.
You might notice a difference with a 1.0/1.2, but only a slight difference, nothing worth writing home about.
But 1.4/1.6's would getting better performance with other mods (like TB's, need cam, straight through zauht etc).
But im not too clued up on engine to give a certain reply, hence why i said id be interested in what beard, lee and co say about it - most of them will laugh, but im sure they will come up with a reasonable reply explaining what type of power you might expect

Aint worth it, might as well get a C20LET in there. By the time you have paid for that, pay to have it fitted, get it all mapped out and running you could have a perfectly good 2L turbo from Mr Mitchell himself, which will more than likely be a damn site more reliable.

how you work that out?
most modding insurers, like Hic, LV etc will allow all modifications apart from if the mods increase the power of the car - ie: inductions, exhaust and especially a turbo . Therefore, you will have to pay extra.
However, saying that i dont think you will get bummed raped as much as everyone thinks. at the mo i pay 1100 for my insurance, which is cheap for the first year ive had it ie - i have 0ncb etc. But if i brought one of these then it would probably (having a guess) shoot up to 1700, which is still cheaper than me owning a 2l LET, which the cheapest quote i got was 2400

Fuck that, just get a supercharger off of a Mini and fit it to your engine.

I was told when insuring my car i can do anything except change the cc but have to tell them the mods.
