Just had a quote from Adrian Flux insurance and they will insure me "FULLY COMP" on my corsa with a 2.0 16v conversion for £950!

I'm mega chuffed, just need a rough price for the conversion if I bought a whole running Cav sri 2.0 16v???

Please help, I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement at the mo!

Lee.

If you bought a whole Cav Sri redtop, then I'd say if you had skills about another £200 all in, but labor etc will be at least £500 I reckon.
Only thing is to make sure you get the hubs machined perfect else it will cause problems later down the line
Not to mention high poundage springs and good dampers too. Awesome quote dude.

Also getting it in writing before I go ahead!!!

Although you'll find the supper1600 corsa was a much better car than the saxo in class, but hey who cares

And to add, the torsion bar set up of the french cars tends to make the back end skitish too, at least with the vx set up the springs can be changed to suit.
But a corsa with a 20XE will never turn as well as a nova with a 16XE in it, but you just can beat physics.

torsion bar makes for great lift off oversteer, a wonderful asset once the driver has learned to tame and use to his advantage. makes roundabouts 20 times more fun
