they are not as slow as you think. factory figures were doctored so that it didnt compete performace wise with the puma.
speak to anybody who owns one or knows abit about them, and they will say the same.

My old housemate had one, he had spent a lot tuning it - cams, management blah blah and standard GSi was still quicker

it would bearly registar a dub 10s 0-60mph, it takes 30s to get to 100mph. it is a slow car
make sure when you speak to owners that they have their hearaids turned on

^it was above 90MPH he creeped away slowly.....
theres nuthing wrong with the engine theres no way i could expect anything faster from a 1.6..
i'd say id wipe the floor with him from 0-70
what rpm would you be in fifth at 80 and 90 mph?
i have to rev the tits out of it to get over a tonne.

its an f15 CR....
i'm dissapointed with its motorway speed once ya go over 80 its screaming with revs.
i got 115 out of it the other night and there was a bit more left in it but go knows how far the speedo is out with the 16" wheels.
like the engine revs fine it just seems that the ratios in the gearbox for 4th and 5th are cack to be honest
