Nova shell - £400 - £800
Stripped - £free, or you could sell parts
Brakes - £100 for V6 brakes, £700 for some real brakes
Suspension - £500-£800 for decent gear, or Koni adjustables with decent springs would be about £300
Cage - £400-£500
Buckets - £200 - £1000

depends if you want a 'good' track car or 'a' track car

Id say 1.5K max if your fitting the engine yourself.

wouldnt use v6 brakes.....

Prob use 2.0 16v brakes......

most expensive part would be the fitting kit for the engine i'd think..... can prob get the rest second hand...

I'd say 1.5k including the car....

Ian - the corsa is a fucking money pit

It's needing alot of money spent to get it how i want it....

solid lifter top end, 300+ cams, steel rods etc....

glassfibre wings/boot and bonnet

leda suspension

slicks...

Id rather build the nova, and rent it out, than letting the corsa be cained by random folk it would be expensive to fix

i know...... but a track day is going to be hard on a car/engine...

I'd need a personal assurance that any damage done would be paid for etc.....

Im not sure a hire track car would be so great as theres always people that spin off and often hit each other. You have nothing to go on as you sign a disclaimer going onto the track, so you'd need some proper advice on how to make people cough up if they ruin the car.

Plus good Nova shells are very rare these days. Good idea though.

Whens this Corsa going to be finished Adam? Going to Crail on the 6th?

(Oh and better not let anyone else see this post as I linked "Nova" and "Kindness" together the other week and some people were screaming blue murder at me for it! )

so..... 800 is around what i'd expect to pay...

Thing is.... i could do it cheap using cheap mounts and tapered shafts.... but i dont think that would be wise considering the hammering it would get

The engine will be a rebuilt c20 with cams/arp rod bolts i think..... 1 engine out of 2 lying around eh with lots of spares
