Opnions?

I want to join see what its like with a view to joining the Army.

Anyone part of it?

I've been on the TA site and once you have completed training you only have to commit 19 days a year, you can obviously do more if you want to.

I am intrested greatly.

Nothing like the real army imo, mainly training and ur 19 days each year is for expiditions (sp) which are no more challenging than the shite i did with the army cadets.

You also only get to the L98 A1 rifle .... which is pants as well.

i know someone who was in the TA & he was a right twat. thought he was in the real army

he quite enjoyed it but then again he did buy a army style land rover, he constantly read army books & was always playing those battle style board games so theres no suprise he enjoys it

I am looking at joining the Signals TA in Reading, had intended on joining the army originally but couldn't on medical grounds so gonna try the TA, was in cadets for 7 years and it's a good crack

And L86 A1, we got to do training on the GPMG, Milan, L96 A1 and LAW in cadets

Cadets got rather shite towards the end; can't stay out if the temp was below 20 degrees or something stupid, no FIBUA, end-ex from 2300-0600, gay!
