i dont know, i really like pugs, a black one slammed on 17s, and id leave it alone after that, but with an astra, ive got the chance early next year to buy my mates, its an M reg, redtop (last of) in diamond black with 18" arospeed velocity rims, and its immaculate, totally spotless, he paid £2800 for it so id expect to pay about £2500, the pug will be a lot more, but i really dont know, ive been told theyre prone to gearboxes, but theres something about em i love

id be first to disagree that mate, standard corsa set up is shite, the body roll in unreal, after uprating it then fair play, but my mates seat ibiza can out handle my corsa a mile from standard, mines not bad but its lowered 60mm so id expect it to corner a lot better than beforehand

i believe the corsa is one of the worse cars about for going round corners, apart from a 2cv, i get beat by most cars as soon as i need to turn

interesting you have got the 306 Gti in there comparing it to those cars. Basically do you want a newish car? or do you want a 10+ year old porous head aging red top astra/calibra? There is going to be a lot of difference in £££ between those vauxhalls and the pug. If you get a pug 306 Gti for the same money you will be buying a shitter. also 17`s on a 306 Gti are not the way forward, you`ll upset the dynamics of an otherwise superb handling FWD car.
