Im buyin this corsa this week, but the only annoying thing is that its a 1.48v and its got 98k on the clock, ill be converting this into a 1.6 engine, i need some help, what engine, GSI etc.






Where would be the best place to get all the work carried out aswell as supplying the engine?

Its urgent as i want the engine converted asap!

Cheers mate, where is he based, and how long does it take him?

And will he supply the engine aswell, i reckon i could get the engine easily enuff, just dont want to try and fit it, as ive never owned a corsa, only FORDS

with a bit of patience, and good knowledge of cars, and a haynes manual, do it yourself.

Hes in Dartford so not too far for you.

Yeah he gets engine for you, you'll need to get brakes etc tho

ive done it myself was simple enough.. but if yer not handy with a spanner they as darren said lee mitchell....

think he only charges 7-800ish for that particular conversion.....

That cheap, what u reckon that labour, or supply and fit? Ill talk 2 him about brakes, aint to expensive are they, ill just get the calibra 2l ones, yea ?

Lol, thats all good!

I need his contact details quickly lol, so i can talk asap, mobile or sumin.

Got to get it sorted as i ent driving in a 1.48v with 98k on the clock. Dont trust it. Ill give him a few ££ more

whoops, i assumed u meant c20xe

i doubt he'l be able to get an engine but give him a shout as he may be able to or his mate.

i paid just over 700 for my 1.6 and that included brakes and engine.

Thats a bargin, what was the millege on the 1.6 engine mate?

Nah just want a 1.6 GSI engine or a 1.6 sport. Cant get insured on a 2L

List of modifications i want:

1.6 Engine GSI if possiable
Gearbox inc and looms and all dat
Digital Dash
Bigger brakes / Pads inc


What more is there to convert a 1.48v to a 1.6 16v GSI?

one question when you say gsi, i assume you mean c16xe?? and if so why?

Just want a little bit more power than a 1.4 and well the engine that the car is on now is 98k, and is desperate for a conversion, and cant afford for a 2l conversion, what u say is the best conversion for a bigger engine than the 1.4 mate?
