just a few pics of the wide arch (kit car) Corsa.

pics were taken on wednesday.

The rear arches needed bonding and trimming, so thay sat flush to the body and the inner arches needed modifying to fit the larger arches.

The wheels have been painted black, and now have new kumho tires

at the moment i am just blending the rear arches into the body, so they match the front.

engine is ready and waiting to go in. just gonna finish the bodywork first and get it all primered.

front bumper is on it way (is a wide GSi style bumper that is extended to meet the arches), should be able to pick it up from pro-tec on friday, as well as the carbon fibre front wing fillers.

went down to the scrappy tonight to to source some 2.0L vented discs, and found some mint ones on a cav with new pads!!!! he wants £15 for them.

also picked up a mint Vaux 15" 5 spoke alloy off a mk3 astra for £15 (going to use it as a spare). thats going to be sanded down, sprayed black, and has a brand new tire waiting to go on it.

i've been spraking to customcorsa (same guy that did some sprayin for flaming corsa) about getting the car sprayed, i settled for orange, dont know exactally what shade yet, but i do know it will be a quality job!

just got a few things left to buy/make.
standard rear bumper needs smoothing and extending to meet the arches,
braided fuel and brake lines,
fit the engine and digi dash,
full stainless system off 4-2-1 manifold, and carbon backbox (just need stainless pipe from manifold to box),
respray,

looking superb mate...excellent choice on kit, liking it alot! Are you going for the rally slag style? with raised suspension etc? where you get ur kit from and mucho costas?

cheers,

Anton

p.s i wouldn't blend the rear acrhes in to match the front, cos they havn't on that rally one.

i'm not making a rally slag.

the car is for hillclimbs, sprints, autotests, so it wont be goin over rough terrain.

its lowered 60mm on 15's with low profiles.

the engine is 1400 16V, just got k&N, manifold and exhaust at the moment. but will be sticking it on twin carbs-hopefully will be gettin them tomorrow!

the kit was frim pro-tec, and it was £850 for the kit, £150 for the fibreglass bonnet, and £175 for the boot, £75 for carbon wing fillers.

the rear arches just look stuck-on on the rally cars (thats cos they are), just wanted it to look a bit smoother really.

yes joff pluss this car will be raced, not just put on the back of a trailer and towed from show to show.

the kit includes the spoiler, front wings, rear aches, front and rear bumpers. it also needs quite a bit of trimming to fit, and you have to chop shit loads out of the rear quater pannels.

the body was actually finished, ready to spray about a month ago. but it just looked like any other modified corsa on the road (MC rally front, combat 2 skits, smoothed rear bumper, fibreglass bonnet and boot). so i fucked it off, and bought the kit-car kit. (was gonna buy a BAT kit, but Beardy has allready got this, and people would compare it against his)
