have fitted my coilovers tonite, backs went on easy, but fronts are not got them both on etc, but drivers side wheel has bags of clearance between wheel and unit, but other side has about 1mm, even with a steel wheel on. so front wheels are like this drivers side ---> | \ <-----otherside. i know i need to get my tracking done, but will this solve the problem????? or is it something else??? please help me

Oh mate they are a bloody nightmare to setup etc... I put mine on a week ago and they are awful, need to get it sorted. Although i heard they are amazing when set up correctly, tracking + camber done etc...

its to do with the way u have done up the top bolt.

it has a slot so u can adjust the camber sounds like u have given one too much and the other not enuff

You need to sort the camber out by making sure the bolt through the wider hole at the base of the front shock is set the same both sides.

Then take it to a decent 4-wheel alignment centre to get it all set up.

superb lads will try to adjust the top bolt tonite then take it to garage tomoro. will 7" wide wheels fit on without spacers?

ok, done the top bolt and hey presto there is bags of room! but............................ now wheels point in complete oposite direction! ones going to the shop other is coming back with the change! i know this is a tracking problem but how do i get it to a garage to get tracking done? cos its not safe to drive
any help appreciated!

u gotta get camber spot on as it does adjust the tracking..

if u got bags of room u prob gone too far.

7" wide alloys DO fit without spacers as low as u like, but u ned the camber set perfect so theres about 2mm between tyre and strut...

Pffft i drove for 3 days with the wheels like this / \ before the garage could fit me in for the alignment..... just take it slow and just go straigh to the garage.....

try and fit 195/45/16*7's et 45 on your car and i bet you will have problems

i reaconi cud get your wheels on mine as is, i have 205/40/17 * 7 ET45, so ures aint any wider, and it doesnt catch no matter where i set the height...

no but they are 17's which makes they sit higher thus clearing the spring platform....

i have pictures drawn all over my desk here cos i couldnt figure out how your had no problems qith lowering and i did... i'll take a picture and post it up later ..

I agree with Siberia, was a nightmare! Got mine sorted now mate, had a go at the camber myself to make it drivable, going in tomorrow for camber and tracking, finally found somewhere to do it . Handles great now, gonna be awesome on friday. Also i managed to get about 50mm down with no catching or anything

lol ok, but on mine the spring platform isright where the tyre is at its thickest...

i could loweer than a bit more....

if you imagine the inside of the wheel being 1" bigger it would clear the platform completely

well my camber is set such that i can...

i put it where i wanted it, adjusted the camber so it fitted and by sheer fluke the camber was spot on when tested...
