Hello there,
Thank you for contacting this department regarding our
case.
Your website breaks a number of content laws, found
within the internet rights act. Your webhosting company
has broken a few rules by not monitering your website
content, however we've been informed by a number of law
agencies about the number of complaints from parents
they have recieved, some personalised comments aimed
towards specific individuals.
OxyUK has a department with a sole purpose to make the
internet a safer, more friendly place. I'm sorry your
account with your host has been removed, but you in
future need to explore laws before hosting websites
online.
Do you need any more information?
Regards,

That is harsh, look at all the shit that dark cruisers had on theirs. They're forum was a constant slag anyone off and be as nasty as you can about it. Its ones like that that should be shut down.
Good luck with the new one

Someone supposedly acting on behalf of our Government, and they can't even spell "monitoring".

1. Host are not responsible for content so long as they make reasonable measures to act on things as and when they're made aware. There is no onus on them whatsoever to monitor sites.
2. There is no 'Internet Rights Act'.
If their issue is with Wools'r'us sounding like Toys'r'us, tell them to spend some time in the Registered Design Act 1949 as amended by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Registered Designs Regulations 2001 and 2003.

Hello there,
My name is Brett Williams, I'm located in CA, US.
OxyUK has passed this case onto our department, so let
me clear up what your last email...
I aint being funny with you mate, it's just my job to
deal with content fraud, and because of so many
complaints from parents, then I think you'll find you
are braking laws, not you specific, however because
your the webmaster, its your job to check the posts.
There was some racist abuse on one of your forum posts,
and you guestbook was closed because of some also. You
can continue with your website on different web hosting
companies, even your own server... however I seriously
advice you to moniter it, and moniter what your 'mates'
or 'guests' write there, or you could end up in some
serious trouble. It't not our company who is abusing
you, and your websites... the state law is.. and
therefore it's our job to make sure you abide to it.
I haven't of yet, closed your domain DNS. However, I
have the power to. I'll let you ride this time, but you
must look a number of things...
- The Content of your Forums
- The Content of your Guestbooks
- You must gain prior permission from people who you
put pictures on your site of.
- You must gain permission of people to have their name
appearing on your website.
Let me just briefly bore you with the odds of you
getting punished, if there is another complaint...
You'd have 90% chances of gaining at least 6 months in
a regional prison. You'd also never be allowed to apply
for any credit cards, use email services, or indeed
create a website for at least 5 years.
You'd also have 10% chances of facing a penelty fine of
upto $100,000/ £70,000 per complaint, from being sued
both by individuals and the state.
To conclude this,
I'm confirming your account with your prior web host
has been removed, your guestbook has also been removed,
along with your forum. However, you may create the
website again, abiding by the content rules I have set.
Or believe me, I'll not be happy, and I'll be pressing
charges against you instantly.
Goodluck matey, and don't forget, to get permission,
and check your forum posts, etc.
Regards,
Brett Williams

WTF??
arnt oxyUK a hosting company?? just move your domain name with someone else mate, because obviously some little kiddy shat bricks and go their mommy and daddy involved
also request all of the complaints made against the site, because it sounds abit bullshit to me mate
edit - plus, if OxyUK.com was working for the government, you would also think that they would have a decent website design

i signed up to cjb i think it was n gave myself an important sounding e-mail name and sent an e-mail, using that email addy,to one of my mates who had his own website on freeservers
i told him to take all the pictures off it as it conflicts with copyright n all that crap, and also delete the guestbook as it was abusive lol and he did, i feel guilty coz he liked that website lol but i was just sick n tired of hearing him talk about it so much so i took action

What is content fraud? Fraud is deception - I see no deception.
It's a different guy but he spells monitor incorrectly as well?
What state law? No mention of a UK act which actually could be used?
Closed down domain DNS? Why?
You must gain prior permission from people who you
put pictures on your site of. - No.
You must gain permission of people to have their name
appearing on your website. - Tell BBC news, they're in loads of trouble.
You'd have 90% chances of gaining at least 6 months in
a regional prison. - If you're tried in a US court, and if he finds an offence to try you with.
You'd also never be allowed to apply for any credit cards, use email services, or indeed create a website for at least 5 years. This one made me chuckle.
£70,000 per complaint - Deformation claims? Loss of earnings? How?
Finally the email address that guy used is registered to a chap living in Widnes. The last 6 digits of his mobile number are 827651. The first will cost you a fiver

tbh mate, easiest way out of this would be to get a hosting company in the UK (ie: servers based in the UK) and host your website + domain with them. That way this "OxyUK.com" american company has no legal rights whats so ever - thats if it is a real privacy company. Although i dont know why they have come to the rescue because there is no connection with them what so ever plus there a hosting company (like i previously said).....and surely its up the hosting companies to shut down websites?
