I don't seem to recall having so much trouble with spiders when I lived in Sydney.
You sure you aren't living in some dodgy part of town, Dave?
Maybe it's because I lived in Bondi?

its a red back!
most dangerous spider in oz and thats the size of a 5p piece!
they are very rare to attack, most people just keep them as they kill the flies, anyhouse in eastern australia will ahve these under chairs stairs etc!
I woke up in cronulla with the little feckers running all over me, as i slept on the grass with a certain girl near a nest!
Just ran in the sea and that was end of them!

thing is everyone worries too much about thungs as long as u respect the animals and there power you will be fine!
I saw few snakes and ones i did see scurried off so fast!
Plenty of red back and widows but u leave them be and just look from a distance!
crocs were the closest as we slept in a croc area in darwin but we put the tent up at night and when awoke there was about 7 in the river 100 metres away!
The little dragon lizard things are so pretty to look at, along with the spiders, roo's etc just gove them room!
Cyber - you enjoying it over there now then?

Yeah its a redback, but they are relly quite small. Not most dangerous spider though, that belongs to the female Sydney Funnelweb. That pic was not by me though! the redbacks have been responsible for about 15 deaths in Sydney over the last 15 years, you have to be bitten by a fully grown male to suffer death.
I sprayed the little fucker with Mortein before hoovering it up . Their web is the stickiest known in the world, and it will take a fucking age for it to clean off your hands.
Im really enjoying auz now, moving to a new place on saturday into a massive house on an acre of land.

I fully respect all the animals out here, especially the parrots, they are so friendly and beautiful. I try to catch the good spiders like the Huntsmans and put them back outside, but nasty ones i squash the fuck out of.
