really is no need is there?? only thing is a better flow-rate & also able to clean the filter yourself... but for an X16XE which will be treated to goodies in the future, is it really worth it?

Nope, std £8 Mann effort is more than enough. Plus why do you need better flow? the fuel is constantly cycled tank to fuel rail and back anywhy, cycling more won't help things

Plus I' drather not open up the filter to the world, nice to know the one you buy will be sealed in a particle free (relatively) envirnoment, and you kitchen really isn't. also filters can break down over time. So changing for a totally new one is a good idea.

i am right in thinking tho like it...

random lumpy idling at 1100rpm when cold start, then just looses out on power high up the rev range.

already trying to source a standard airbox to shift the induction kit...

loosing power uprev range could be the ignition, it brakes down under load.

hmmm hope its not the coilpack otherwise im gona be like you broster...

warranty runs out too in 9 days, but tbh they wont do the coil pack as its not a major fault as yet.

temp sensor - bout £11 yeah?? is the blue plug in side of head on the X16XE??

i aint gettin no errors from the ECU nor no ecu light.

thinkin about it... I had these problems when I first bought the car & then re-routed all the HT leads as they were all over the show & tangled as they were put in & it seemed to behave much better for it afterwards, but lately its been going bad again.

the plugs are new - replaced them last month

The CTS is the one sensor the ecu will never think it's lying. so it can be wildly wrong and the ecu won't get upset, just the engine.
I'd point the finger there first, then see.
If the ign fails it pretty easy to spot, you pick up a miss fire, were as fuellign be oiff makes the car "run out of puff"
See how it goes wiotha CTS swapped over, borrow a mates that is runngin fine. cheaper and if it's nto that cheaper, cause I know you don't like spending money
Can't see how the airbox is different myself? aslong as yours doesn't have a AFM then it's same me thinks??

X16XE dont got AFM - C16XE does

i know it did 'pop' once when I tried to pull off, like a wee backfire - but then carried on as normal.

this only ever happened 'once'

I'd say the poor cold start is CTS related.

£23 is a bit high, did you get the little O-rings too?? Cause they are pretty imporatant when you swap the gasket.
