there are a few songs which I like and some I don't, then there are some which are plain shite to which GLC and bandaid-20 fall into.

GLC take the piss and show how a few jokey lyrics can get them into the charts. They know this and don't take themselves seriously.

GLC's lyrics are some of the best in the genre - compare it to the lazy tracks that Eminem and The Streets churn out.

Bandaid-20 isn't about charity - it's about publicity. Only a handful of the artists do anything for the third world off their own backs, the rest just saw "xmas #1" and signed up.

No you seem to have missunderstood the point of their material, right they are mock up chavs, with written lyrics mimicking the chav culture. They are a huge pisstake and it's the chav population who buy their records that haven't really cotton'ed onto to what it's all about. The music is shit, the lyrics and dress code are chavlike, but that's how it's meant to be.
