good vid.
does look quite minor if they could still stand in it, considering all the damage caused that you see on the news.

Yeah your right but i didnt want to put up a video that showed the true death and destruction the whole thing brought because we already know the extent of loss of life, i thought this video showed the capability of what the bigger waves must have had.....

out at sea it does about 500mph+ apparently, but its only a few inches high, its only when it gets to shallow water u get the huge tidal wave, plus it slows down somewhat - whether any1 is out running it or not that about of water hitting you at 5mph or 500mph is goin to kill alot of people unfortunately

its about 15 foot high and goes about 200 meters on to land still takes down tress mind, was mostly like an island in the maldives area 1000 of miles away from the epicenter. The ones near must have been massive yet its not the hight of the wave its the mass of water behind it. The kentic engery is massive.

The giant waves that rose to a maximum height of 1,720 feet (516 m) at the head of Lituya Bay, on July 9, 1958.
i think the difference here clearly shows, the wave the hit lituya bay way back then was taller than 1 and a half twin towers
now thats a Tsunami!!

At the beginning of that video, the people in front of the camera seem to be just watching a huge wave coming towards them. I'd be getting out of the way.
