Because I'm on a tight budget I'm looking at getting some cheaper wheels and was wondering if anyone had any pics of 15's or 16's on their car. Plus I think that the 15's will have better acceleration on my 1.2.
Cheers in advance

They will have the same outside rolling radius. On 15's you will have an inch less metal and an inch more tyre.

i have 15's, and always have had 15's. they do look a tad too small at times, it worth it for the extra inch!

go 4 the 16's. they'll look alot better and u wont notice much of a difference in the acceleration. DONT get 17's tho, THEY WILL DEFINATELY SLOW U DOWN!!
(its bad enuf with a 1.8)

Depends on the rest of the bodywork and how far you're lowering it.

These are 15s with a 45 tyre.

The acceleration on my 18s is far better than my 15s. The 18s are on an Astra Turbo, so that helps

There is a difference on the 1.2, I only ever had standard 13s or 15s and tbh I wouldn't be too worried with speed when they improve the looks that much.

So far as the difference between 15s and 16s, the 16s on my GSi have a 195/40/16 tyre which is smaller than the standard 185/60/14 when I stood them next to each other.

So technically its better on bigger wheels, if the tyres are right.

Nothing wrong with 15s so long as you use a 45 profile tyre and go fairly low, and don't have a huge kit - or for that matter any kit at all. Think it works well with standard pre-97 stuff.

Look here for more proof of that - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/garage.php?action=usergarage&owner=fax2004&carid=1806&page=all

I'm not planning on any kit, so with that in mind would 15' sbe a better bet, as if those speedlines in your avatar are 15's they dont look small or anything. what drop do you have?

No no, the Speedlines are 16 with 195/40/16

The hockenheims on the Green one were 15s.

Both cars are dropped a fair way, green one was 60 front / 40 rear, GSi I don't know it was like that when I got it, maybe 40 ish?

got a set of 15" tsw razors on my corsa with the 195/50 yokohama tyres on. they make the car look better as the bodywork is standard with the black trim. mines only a 1.2 and i cant really tell any difference in the acceleration of the car
