90k on clock lowered on speedlines. body in ok/good condition i think front bumper need re-fitting. few sounds head unit and aftermarket speakers.
he wants £1200 for it i reckon i can get it for £900/£1000
its an 'M' plate.
what ya reckon worth it?

thats my plan i reckon! seals are all good and dont think theres any rust its almost mint, except he went into the back of some1 creased the bonnet and bumper came out of fixings but he's got new bonnet and re-fixed the bumper best he could. so grand be worth it!

Cam/timing belt due a change at 90k id think
Ask if this has been done....good way to push the price down aswell as this costs a couple hundred or so

Yes thats a problem but not worse car for it, if my maf sensor go's tits up I melt the pistons

most garage's will do a cam belt, kit is about £90 IIRC and then needs fitting

Yes thats a problem but not worse car for it, if my maf sensor go's tits up I melt the pistons
My mates works for vaux and he told me every time a gsi goes in first thing whats up with is the iscv without a doubt. Nippy little car but if any engine work wants doing its a bastard, manifold off jobbie

Lee Mitchel or whatever hes called seems to be good and good value too - ask him
Just ask for reciepts and see if the moneys been spent. Ask about servicing FSH, local garage, doin it himself, nobody? check for dodgy idle should sit at 800ish rpm.

well if it goes i've got a can or carb cleaner so no biggy
just wana blank off my EGR Next or figure how to trick the ECU into thinking its still there & actually remove it instead...
wonder how broster did it when he got his exhaust manifold, as I see no EGR there...

Yeah belts need doing ever 35'000 vauxhall charge about £250ish for complete kit fitted, they ok to work on once ya get to know ya way around the engine bay, i had a C16XE engine and trust me they are nothing compared to the X16XE, these are even tighter in the bay, too much wiring EGR crap and the like

Broster did remove his EGR, Jamsport in Nothampton did it for him, i have no idea how

wicked thanks for all you're views i will check the history thanks. just bit stuck really cos i get 1 years NCB in june, do i wait till then and get a gsi then or buy one now and insure it now(bare in mind i got 3 driving convictions and i currently pay 1800 on my escrote estate diesel) dilema!

yeah mate i aint proud but i got 3 points, LC20, IN10, CD10 had an accident my stupid arse fault, then when i was 16 i got caught riding a mates silly little 50cc moped and got some nice lil codes on my licence from that. i have been driving 2 years in may. so i cant get another 3 points inbetween now and then otherwise i loose my license and have to take the sodding test again!
