A decat will make your exhaust louder, a good manifold will improve performance in the low-mid range.

Decat won't make any noticeable difference to power gains.
Spend double on the manifold and get something that actually works. I doubt you'll find anywhere selling decent manifolds for £150.

Is the Janspeed manifold any good, it's £180. I've got the full Janspeed system with De-Cat and was thinkin of getting the Janspeed manifold too but wasn't sure if it was worth it.

Std manifold is pretty good anyway, but a decent exhaust builder should be able to tune the power so it's useable.

16v engines don't have a low end though?? It's ok on a stdish engine, but on TB's you need a decent one to get the power out of them. As SBD state on the site.

So with a new manifold like the Janspeed one it's not gonna bring the power curve lower down just prodce more power in general.

What Broster said
No but they don't pull well at low rpms, they only start to come in at 4k properly.
