full rebuild: new cambelt kit etc, oversized mahle pistons, arp rod bolts, sealed head etc etc

the actual boreing out bit isnt that pricey (£60 ive read on migweb), its the stripping, new pistons and rebuild where the price rockets

i'm gona get a spare block to work on, so hopefully take time over it and keep labour costs down

is that the old one that you had loads of trouble with?

i've got my eyes on an engine stand from machine mart. are they well handy?

quite a bit il get a definate price. things like sealed head costs a bit arps and decent mains and ends, cambelt kit. all adds up

martin sends them off to be bored to his mate the pistons are 86.47 i think.

aye its the old engine with a fettled GM head.

I have a draper stand, not sure what others are like but its good as i can rotate the engine 360 deg on the stand
