Hey,new here.
I have loved Corsa's since I was young teens, wanted to make one one off and new,but everythig seems to have been done, so lately I have wanted a Lupo 1.4s.
But,I want a lupo less than 2years old,so it has the gti interior, but that will be about 5-6k.
So I thought if I got a Corsa B '94 M-reg Sri,for about 2k max, then spent a few K on it,could I really make it show worthy, and something that would get me acknowledged as a true modifier? Is there anything no1 has done to a Corsa B?
I know a few K is less than whats needed for a truly extreme modified car,but it's a starting point.

Any answer's to my questions, suggestions, idea's would be great.

Buy one thats already been done - or expect to need circa £20-25k for a 1 off show car from scratch!

Yeah, saw a mkIV Golf done up to eyeballs, a guy bought it and redid it all, kept I'd say 40% of it the same.
He did it with the help of the previous owner who sold it him,and they said it was alot of fun and was nice to see the car evolve.

save all the hassle...

buy the nicest car you can and leave it as is for a few year, then move up the chain again...

with hindsight, thats the way to go

What he said, that or atleast dont go mad on it and spend loads of money. Seems silly to me spending more than the value of the car in mods . Think its one of those things where you either get it or you dont .

Only thing i can think of thats different for this country is a Tigra front end, and go full on Euro style with wide wheels, on the deck and lots of smoothing .

ask yourself....

What will you gain from doing something that hasn't been done to a corsa?

???

In my opinion? nothing..... just waste lots of money.... do what you LIKE, not what hasn't been done

Must be the claim to fame thing . If your really into your car mags i suppose being featured would be an ambition of some sort, its just at the end of the day what does it mean that you got your car in the mag, except everyone now knows what Ice youve got in the boot, what mods youve got done, and the alarm youve used, so they can steal it all easier .

Yes,I will do what I like, but knowing what hasn't been done would help my decision.
Also, yes I know a place in europe that makes 13" 3peice wheels that I can get from 5" to 10" wide,I also know alot of people who do body work,so whatever I get I will be going full euro,I just want to know maybe what engine work hasn't been done,as I think I saw a V6 a while ago in a magazine?

Also,I do not want to be featured in many car magazines,as I do never want to be in Max Or Rev's as these magazines do no justice in my opinion to the car modification world, apart from bring chavs into it.

I just want to know I did something new, just to myself.

Yeah I have been told alot it would cost megabucks(mainly by venom_turbo who lives near me).
But I just am wondering.
I hope I had said nothing no,first impressions of me wanting to follow the croud of something new. But I do have strong opinions on car modification.

thats fair enough, but i think you need to have your feet planted on the ground and reakky think if its worth doing what you plan....

It may seem like it at the mo, but just try and think about 1 or 2yrs down the line

Put biplane wings on it, a propeller, and turn it into a WW2-style flying machine......well, you didn't say "sensible things" not being done to a Corsa

To be honest I wouldn't bother with OTT modifications, but thats partly just because its not my thing.
If that is the route you want to take then you can always be different - I think IAZ (and the guy that owned the car before him) have proved that.
