never really gone past 110 ish before and wanted to see what this engine could do. got to just past 130 then something went bang! With my luck with cars i thought cambelt had snapped or something, then i realised it was still going Doing that speed had ripped the fucking wheel arch off!

Was the time you took the pic the fastest point? Or did you get 140?

you reckon thunda could do 150s?? i would have thought top end would be around the late 140s im guessing its an F28 (rated at 170 arnt they?)?

time for GPS Although not very accurate at slow speeds, but once your above 80 odd there great

edit - back to topic, nice though adam get em sprayed and use good old tigerseal

Same thing happened to me on the way back from PVS at around the same speeds

I was racing a Mini cooper S & just as I was starting to get some distance from him something started tapping on my wing mirror. Looked to the side & my arch was flapping around

Mine were bonded on before. When I have the rest of the bodywork done on the car & im gonna bolt & bond them on to be on the safe side!!!

me and beardy have a thing about this.. he dont think i can do 155... i think i can

so it has to be bruntingthorpe or somewhere like that.. just to see my real topend with GPS or full timing equipment

yeah i have a F28 box... plus the power should be enough to push a corsa past the 150 bench mark.. i hope

wack it on an airfield or something mate But yea, i think thunda could do 150-155, but i think it would be alittle struggle for the car - mainly on aerodynamics, corsas are a barge after all

But im sure you'll get it to the 150-155 mark

I done the exact same thing with mine at max speed

I was racing another XE corsa at the time and heard a clicking noise and only relised it was my arch molding when we stopped at the end of the motorway
