there's sound on the rotary power one that you put up the other week though ain't there? And i assume that is the one thats up now. It's the smokey one which has no sound i presume you mean

They both are. Mazda cars with RX prefixes are all wankels IIRC.

Essentially same engine with refinements all the way along, RX7 had power boosted with twin turbos, RX8 is N/A but more efficient.

Official line was that fuel pipe broke and sprayed fuel onto hot turbo. Unofficially, it was sabotaged by Ian and Tim as they had wankel envy.
