is it legal for a provisonal driver to help tow a car home (sit in the car which is been towed unsupervised?

They have to be supervised at all times when in a moving car i think

no, he would be an unqualified driver in control of a motor vehicle on a public highway with no supervisior in car of course

Well if the car started moving backwards when he went into the shop, well that wouldnt be seen as illegal as he wasnt in the driving sit

It would if he is the only person in the vehicle as he is in charge of the vehicle, I know people that have been done for drink driving, wen they werent driving but the only person in the vehicle

A provisional driver is not aloud by law to be on the road in a car without a full licensed driver present whether they are driving the car or not

Yea but if the car started 2 to move and a child was in the back, you cannot say thats illegal as it isnt as though that child started to move the car hes or herself

When Rachel towed my car down to S&T it was a week before my 2nd test and I sat in the drivers seat of the Nova and she towed it down there, I had provisional.

the only reason i ask is that i was towing a car home one night with my gf who is only a provisonal driver coppers pulled us been really nice at first asked us if we both had full driving licences i said yeah gf said no then they gave us both producers what will happen to my gf as she only has a provisonal licence the towed car was mot,d and taxed but not insured

will she lose her licence before she has even got it

Im not sure about this, think she will just have to go and produce her provsional licence tbh, i dont know about losing her licence but they may be strict as they will say you should know you need someone supervising you when you dont have a licence
