I live in Scotland, house prices are generally cheaper!!
Im not posting on a public board what I paid for my house but i'll just say I done no bad out of it....needs some work done to it & one identical has just sold down the road for almost £15k more
Start by saving up and then start looking.....Ive spent around £12k on various things so far!!

You could try building your own? If it doesnt turn out too well just put a sign on the door "CorsaSport Clubhouse" I'm sure everyone will make themselves at home

I'm not building my own.
Wouldn't know where to start and i expect it to be costing a lot more than what i can afford.
I've been loooking for ages. Everything is either too shit, or way out of my price range.

Sorry I was only kidding around, tho i'd love to do a self build. I know what u mean about all the shoot properties around tho, try finding somewhere shoot but in a really nice area, then do the place up, you'll prob be able to make some money off it after a year or so if u do it right? Better than pouring money into rent all the time.

Depends what you want. All my flat wants is some new doors and a new kitchen. 2k tops. Half the work will be done at the later end summer once I’m back on track in terms of money.
Because i got my flat cheap, i could sell it off now (2 months later) and make 15k. I kind of got a discount because i rented it first and because my parents have rented for 20 years off the same housing association.

a friend of mine built his, took 6 months of work to do it and figured out he spent something like 65-70 grand all in including the plot of land, all materials and actually gettin electrics, heating and plumbing in... (did the majority of it himself)
had it value'd recently and its at £320,000 tbh for 6 months off work and some hard work i don't think he did that bad

Travelling also drops the price considerably. I was considering moving to Bolton after seeing a nice apartment up for sale there (30 miles way).

Its not too bad in Wales atm, my friends just bought her first house (2 bed, quite big, garage and garden) for 89k
So me and Richie will be looking at about 90k for our 'first house'

we live on a farm with about 6 acres, me and richie arent even allowed to build our own log cabin because we are on a green belt  even thou his dad owns the land!

I've just sold my 2 bed Flat for £91K and I'm looking into buying a 2 Bed Semi which all seem to be around the £130K mark, which is affordable considering I made a £40K profit on the the flat. But Property prices will not go down unless a recession hits us and the Bank of England are talking about lowering rates another 1/4-1/2% which will probably kit start the price increases again
