nice cars, not really a world away from your 106 in performance terms though, if your buying for performance increase over your gti dont bother

i never said they werent more tunable, i said in standard for they aint much quicker, and you dont buy a 106 gti for the niceness of the drive, but if thats what you want out of a car then i agree

The standard ECU can be remapped to give around 200bhp and 200lb/ft. Making 0-100 in around 16/17.

No need for any addon such as a unichip.

If you stick on the K03S along with FMIC, DP and race cat you will see around 250bhp and 250lb/ft. 0-100 in high 13's.

Or go crazy and stick on a IHI turbo and get 350bhp+ and 0-100 in 10's.

Great cars, bomb proof engines. Handle well, but not great.

Erm, not a chance. K04, yes but you wont see 250bhp with a K03s. You would be lucky to see 230. Also, an FMIC with a turbo as small as the K03s will do nothing other than lose you power. I should know, i did it. The standard ic is more than suitable for a k03s. Its pijntless doing a K04 conversion, for the money you might as well get a T28 or the jabba IHI kit.

Sorry to dissapoint but there are numerous Ibiza's running K03S producing ~250bhp. One guy on the seatcupra forum called 'mk4polo' for example made 253bhp and ran a qtr mile of 13.8 @ 101.8mph.

And the standard IC is mince when running high boost. Inlet temps of 60'C+ are hardly good.

With the FMIC on they sit around 20-30'C.

rolling roads are not an accurate way of measuring power, especially power at the fly

Ibiza Curpra Turbo's are pretty good Vag Built so your gettin Quality for little money, very tuneable like all Vag's!

Take it its the 1.8T 180bhp?? a Chip will take you over 200bhp the list of Engine Modifications for these cars is pretty unreal!

Well the Ibiza Cupra comes in at 156bhp, and the Cupra R at 180bhp.

Purely because the Cupra R runs more boost as standard.

Both engine are identical in the ibiza and both remap to the same figures.
