Just wondered if a AX GT with a full system will beat a standard 1.4 16v corsa sport??

wont rape it i think the gsi will have the edge, but again on the bends it will monster the gsi all IMO obviously

your kidding me? AX GT will piss all over a 1.4 16v and even beat a 1.6 sport.

They have 100bhp and weight around the 700-750kg mark

Will cain a 1.4 16v Corsa, even to 60 beat a GSi.

I had a race with a mate of mine who had a GT on the motorway, I was in my GSi and I left him.

They are'nt very faster after 60-70mph

Pretty sure they were 100 my mate from school had one and it used to wipe my sport everytime.

yeah thought so. Still think IMO they would beat a 1.6 sort to 60 altho midrange /top end i am not sure...although the weight advantages work in its favour will it not?

engine willweight the same! it has more electrics etc.... im just guessing it will be heavyer, sun roof aint light, or air con, electric window stuff.....if i could be arsed id look in the hand book that tells you the weight, but i cant be botherd going to the garage and looking

My 1.4 16v sport with climate control is 890 kilo's

So without the climate control it's about 860 kilo...

this from a weigh bridge? i though corsas weighed more than that, mates gsi fully stripped out no electrics climate control or sunroof weighed in at 902kg.

I woulda thought a Gsi engine woulda weighed auite abit more than mine, havin bigger pistions, crank etc

Corsa (year 2000) spec's, so not on a weight bridge:

1.4 16v sport 892 kg
1.6 16v GSi 942 kg

This difference is because of the bigger brake's, stabi's etc...
Bought without climate control...
