I wonder how long he can leave it before he has to take it out,
Reminds me of a story I heard about some buliders who knocked a wall though of a property thats owner had died a few months before and found a XJ220 with almost no miles on it

It was bought by a building company or something as an investment but the super car market crashed soon after and a while later the company went bust, the wall was knocked down by the new owners or something.

Seems stupid storing it if you ask me. Can see his idea, but in my opinion a car is for driving, whats the point in having money tied up in it if you cant use it how its meant to be used. If it were me it'd be a daily driver if i could afford to run it. It's like someone mentioned, you dont know what lifes got in store, so you may aswell enjoy what youve got, while youve got it  .

WTF, 15 years in storage 
"The car will be inside a building then inside a garage then inside a carcoon on axle stands so the cars suspension hangs down and the wheels are not sat on the ground.
Oil and filter has been changed too.
I cant believe people are asking why im storing this car.
The answer is how many of these will be left in years to come and ive always wished i had saved my cars over the years and this time i have.

i agree with it being stored... 22b is a desired car just now,,if you have the money then why not?!

22B "Type UK"
In late 1998, Subaru UK officially imported 16 22Bs (described below), and passed them on to Prodrive for modification. The UK cars differ from the privately imported 22Bs, not just in their 3 year factory warranty, but with revised gear ratios more suited to UK roads. The was acheived by changing the final drive ratio from 3.9 to 4.44 to lengthen the gearing. Cosmetically, the car got the headlights from the '99 model, UK rear light clusters and driving lights (not fog lights!) were fitted where the normal 22B has blanking plates. From the back, you can tell you're looking at one of the rarest cars in the world by the "Type UK" and "Prodrive" stickers. The price was £39,950, and demand for the cars was overwhelming.
Interestingly, Subaru UK were not able to put their 16 cars through the Single Vehicle Approval scheme because the maximum of 50 privately imported 22Bs had already been registered in 1998. Consequently the Type UKs were registered in 1999. The cars do not meet European Type Approval regulations for noise and emissions.

I've seen one which had a private 22b plate, can't remember the plate but it was fairly relevant to the car.

If he is doing it for profit i dont see the point...
Whats the car worth £25k?
If he put that £25k into a good interest savings account that will rise to £40-50k in 15 years time.
Less hassle and more space

The oil is changed and left in, IIRC.
Car is stood on axel stands so the suspension can drop and the wheels stay off the floor.

Oil is left in the engine to stop corrosion, needs fresh oil though. Petrol can be left too, and an additive added to prevent it from going off. However, after 15 years this will have to be pumped out before turning it over.
